Even though I am a recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board (which covered most of my recording expenses), additional funds were needed to cover my album release expenses. These funds were supposed to come mainly from my summer benefit concerts and other promotional events, but due to Covid-19 all of these activities were canceled.

My new album

 

This album is a reflection of my extensive career and exciting musical journey. Even though these nine compositions all share a common
denominator, they emerged from quite divergent musical genres, and cultural climates and various time periods within my career. Three
of these tracks ("Neverending Story", "When I Miss You" and "Who's There?") are my most recent compositions written specifically for this
album. "Night of Champagne" was written in the 80's for my rock band in the former Czechoslovakia, and "Ogooue" came about before I
left Europe for West Africa. "Sure Thing" was written in the 90's for my Brazilian jazz band and "Memories of Marseille" reflects my
incredibly motivating stay in this Mediterranean metropolis.
I would like to thank my friends and wonderful fellow musicians from the U.S., Canada and the Czech Republic
for contributing their talents to this project.
